A mother's night out with her boys at Hometown =D
Two weeks ago, we had a reservation from Mdm. Anne. She came together with her two boys. They love seafood so we decided to give them a memorable night. We recommended our speciality Mixed Grill (seafood & lamb) as well as Baked Fish Fillet.
Here are some of our favorite shots of the night! Enjoy!

Soft Launching
It was time to test out how our food would measure up to the public..whether the food would be a hit or would it be just plain old Joe!
On Thursday 17th March, we decided to have a soft opening to the surrounding community of our restaurant and to our delight it was a GREAT!
Our signature dish Chicken Rice was Sold-Out on the first day before dinner. I guess it was really delicious as many came back for seconds in the evening.
Other dishes like our Chicken Chop and our famous Nasi Lemak was also selling fast. Some patrons even called up to reserve different dishes for the evening as they were coming in groups.
It was indeed a great start for our restaurant! Here are some of the pictures of our restaurant, staff and dishes...

Building a Dream
The Hometown Cafe came to life through the begining of a dream. A dream of sharing wonderful homecook meals to friends and family as well as our fellow food lovers "The Penangites" in which their hospitality of welcoming foreigners to our beautiful island is to share our culture through eating great food all over Penang, the city of Food :)
So let me get this introduction on the way on how Hometown Cafe came into form and the people who helped build the dream.
